Pool Service FAQ — Phoenix, AZ

Pricing, scheduling, chemicals, access, cancellation and everything else homeowners ask before starting weekly service.

How much does weekly pool service cost in Phoenix?

Complete weekly service starts at $124 a month for a standard residential pool up to about 18,000 gallons, with routine chemicals included. Larger pools, attached spas, water features or heavy tree cover can move the price, which is why we quote your pool specifically instead of publishing a rate and adding to it later.

How often should my pool be cleaned?

Weekly, without exception. Extreme UV, hard Colorado River water and monsoon dust make the Valley the toughest pool climate in the country — chlorine burns off in days and calcium scales tile within a season. A pool serviced every other week spends half its life out of balance, and in this climate that is how you end up paying for an algae recovery instead of routine service.

Are chemicals included in the monthly price?

Yes. Chlorine, acid, alkalinity increaser, stabilizer and shock are all part of your monthly rate. The only separate charges are specialty items a particular pool needs occasionally — algaecide during a recovery, phosphate remover, calcium hardness increaser on a fresh fill, or salt for a salt system — and those are always quoted before we add them.

Is there a contract?

No. Service is month to month. Cancel any time by giving notice before your next billing date — there is no term, no early termination fee and no cancellation penalty.

Do I need to be home for service?

No. Almost all of our customers are at work when we come. We just need reliable access to the pool area — a gate code, a lock box, or an unlocked side gate on your service day. If you have a dog, tell us and we will work out an arrangement that keeps everyone comfortable.

What types of filters do you service?

All three: sand, cartridge and DE. That includes backwashing, cartridge cleaning, DE grid tear-downs and media replacement when it is due. We log filter pressure at every visit so the filter is serviced on condition rather than on a guess.

Do you service salt water pools?

Yes, and they get the same full weekly checklist. We also verify salt level and check the cell for scale. Acid-bath cell cleaning is available as an add-on and is quoted in advance.

How do you ensure the water is actually safe?

We test the full panel at the pool with professional reagents every week — free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid — and dose on the spot. Readings are logged so we can spot a pool trending out of range before it becomes a problem you can see.

Which areas do you cover around Phoenix?

North Phoenix, Cave Creek, Carefree, Scottsdale, North Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. Our full ZIP and community list is on the service areas page — if your address is on it, you are on an existing weekly route with a fixed service day.

What day will my pool be serviced?

Your service day is set by the route your address falls on, and you are told the day when you sign up. It stays the same week to week. If a holiday or severe weather forces a change, we service the pool on the next working day rather than skipping the week.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad on my service day?

We still service the pool. Rain does not stop a route — in fact rain is exactly when chemistry gets diluted and debris gets blown in. We only pull technicians off routes for genuine safety reasons like lightning, and those pools are picked up the following day.

My pool is green. Can you fix it, or does it need to be drained?

In most cases it can be recovered without draining. A green pool recovery is quoted as a flat job based on pool size and condition, includes multiple return visits and a filter clean, and typically takes three to five days. See green pool recovery for how the process works.

Do you repair pool equipment as well?

Yes — pumps, motors, filters, timers, valves, automation and pad plumbing. Because we are at your pool weekly, most problems get caught while they are still small. All repairs are quoted in writing before any work starts. Heaters and structural work like plaster or deck repair we will refer out rather than pretend to specialise in.

Is professional pool cleaning actually worth it?

Once you price out chemicals, a decent test kit, your time every week and the cost of a single algae recovery or an early pump replacement, professional weekly service is usually close to cost-neutral in Arizona — and you get your Saturdays back. The pools that get expensive are the ones nobody is watching.
